Congratulations to Hope Grossman Devore, our December 2023 EconHero!

Hope teaches economics and government at HS 223: The Laboratory School of Finance and Technology in the Bronx, New York. Despite being new to the discipline, she is already developing innovative, culturally relevant lessons for her students. In her new Urban Economics unit, for example, students connect each economic concept they learn about to current developments in their city. By tailoring her economics instruction to the interests and environment of her students, Hope is ensuring they can apply their learning outside the classroom.
