EconHero Educator Award

Economic educators across the country are working hard every day to teach their students key concepts and skills that will improve their decision making. As economic thinkers, students can reap gains in their personal, professional, and civic lives.

We want to celebrate EconHeroes—Grade 6-12 classroom educators who are empowering their students to think like economists. From September to May each year, we will feature one EconHero on our website. Each EconHero will receive a congratulatory certificate, a $100 Amazon gift card, and a felt banner for their classroom, as tokens of our appreciation for their hard work and commitment to economic education.*

  • developing and/or implementing innovative instructional materials

  • supporting student interest in the discipline

  • striving to excel as a new economics teacher
