October 2022 EconHero

Meet Melissa Schram, our October 2022 EconHero. Melissa teaches economics and business courses at Millard West High School in Omaha, Nebraska. She also teaches principles of micro and macroeconomics as well as courses for pre-service educators at the University of Nebraska, Omaha.

This month's EconHero is incredibly devoted to her discipline and to her students. She attends national economic education conferences as well as a wide variety of professional development events through the Nebraska Council on Economic Education, Econiful, and more. She even reads AP economics exams in the summer.

Melissa's nominator described her as "a truly talented instructor, highly knowledgeable, and dedicated to educating students about the economic way of thinking." We couldn't be happier to shine a light on Melissa's exemplary work empowering economic thinkers during Economic Education Month!
