Congratulations to Ian Weissman our December 2025 EconHero!

Ian teaches economics at Repertory Company High School for Theatre Arts in New York, New York. Ian is dedicated to equipping his students with the valuable knowledge skills a high-quality economic education offers. He participates in professional learning opportunities like the Council for Economic Education's annual conference and collaborates with fellow educators to share best practices. Ian explained his love for his craft this way: "Economics helps students shift from being passive observers to confident problem-solvers, and it’s incredibly rewarding to see them use economic thinking not just to interpret the world, but to feel capable of navigating and improving it."
