Congratulations to Megan Cassidy, our September 2026 EconHero!

Megan teaches on-level economics, AP Microeconomics and AP Macroeconomics at University High School in Tucson, Arizona. Her nominator wrote glowingly of her ability to help students recognize the economics in their daily lives. Megan further explained, "By equipping [students] with an economic lens, I love knowing that I am providing them with critical, lifelong decision-making tools that will actively shape their financial literacy, careers, and personal lives long after high school graduation."

In additional to successfully preparing students for rigorous assessments, Megan supports their participation in student competitions, including Economics Challenge and The Stock Market Game, through the Arizona Council on Economic Education.

Megan is clearly a passionate economic educator and we're proud to call her our September EconHero.
