U.S. GDP Shrank in Q2

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, U.S. GDP decreased by 0.9% in the second quarter of the year. This marks the second consecutive quarter of negative GDP growth, a common definition of a recession. Some economists are pushing back on the idea that the economy is in recession, however, pointing to strong labor market data and other economic indicators. Read more at NPR.
